In all her years, Sara Evans only held but one dream: to sing and compose country songs. "God placed me on this earth as singing," said Evans, according to John Meroney of American Enterprise. "It's my passion to perform more than anything else that I've ever done, and I'm going make it." Evans wanted to achieve success by revisiting the old country songs made famous by Patsy Cline. Hank Snow. Tammy Wynette. George Jones. And Patty Loveless. These musicians Evans considers to be her most influential sources of inspiration. Evans was first successful in the 1990s when many aspiring country singers turned to popular songs. Her 1997 debut, True Lies, was an example. True Lies, though it got a positive review and was nominated by the Academy of Country Music for 1998's best new female singer but failed to create an impression. Evans was enticed to change the repertoire for No Place That Far in 1999 by the producers. That gave her the public acknowledgement she'd always had been seeking for years. Sara Evans, born on February 5, 1971, in Columbia Missouri she is an American singer and songwriter. She was raised in Columbia together with six sisters and siblings.
